Mrs. McFarland Shares Her Jambalaya Recipe at the “Foods of the World” Class

Published by palliende under Announcements, Foods, Recipe

Besides being a fantastic cook, Mrs. McFarland is a great storyteller. Today in her “Foods of the World” class she shared with students her love for cooking and also Louisiana culture and traditions. Students wore beads and masks that Mrs. McFarland passed along while she was telling the story behind Carnival and Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday). She prepared with the help of students two famous Louisiana favorites: Jambalaya and Pralines.

Watch the photos to get an idea of what happen in her class and download her Jambalaya Recipe to try it at home. I will try it for sure this weekend!
